About the event

What is functional movement training? Functional Movement Coaching aims to improve athletic performance, strength, balance and coordination through movements and sensory experiences structured around the body’s natural “language” of walking, running, and throwing.

How does functional movement education differ from traditional fitness trends? If humans were computers, you could think of the difference as a “software upgrade” vs a “hardware upgrade.” Functional movement education focuses on teaching students how to use their body’s natural biomechanics as well as knowledge of physics to train their nervous system to become more resilient and move more efficiently versus focussing solely on muscle size. Learn how to“work smarter, not harder.”

What students can expect to gain from attending:

Better breath control

Improved balance strategies
